Richie Hawtin hat seine erste, auf den Dancefloor gerichtete EP seit Minus Orange aus dem Jahr 1999 angekündigt. Die Platte mit dem Titel Time Warps enthält zwei Tracks, die zusammen über 30 Minuten lang sind. Für den Titeltrack wurde auch ein Video produziert.
Die EP erscheint als erster Release auf Hawtins neuem Label From Our Minds, ein Neu-Launch seines ikonischen Imprint Plus 8. Für die 12”-Version wird ausschließlich recyceltes Vinyl benutzt, gleiches gilt für die Pappe des Covers:
„After thirty years in the music industry and with the state of the planet, I believe we need to consider the environmental impact of petroleum based music formats. I’m still committed to releasing a limited edition vinyl for those who choose to enjoy their music using this format, however, I believe that our community needs to be more sensitive with their vinyl strategy. Going forward we need to consider all aspects of our physical releases, including packaging, using recycled products and working together with manufacturers who take this subject seriously.” So sagt Hawtin selber.
